M. Celeste McKean, MS, APRN, FNP-C
Celeste grew up in Kansas and followed an educational journey that ultimately led to her calling as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While working in laboratory sciences in endocrinology, general laboratory medicine, and microbiology, she realized that the lab results she analyzed represented real people with unique stories. This inspired her to pursue nursing so she could care for patients face-to-face.
During her nursing career, Celeste discovered a passion for caring for and educating patients while working in stroke, trauma, and intensive care. She found great fulfillment not only in helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives but also in empowering them to achieve their best possible health. That passion led her to earn her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and eventually specialize in functional and integrative medicine.
Over the last several years at Southlake Integrative Wellness Center, Celeste has become a hormone and menopause specialist. She is passionate about helping women navigate the transitions of perimenopause and menopause while optimizing hormones for both women and men. Her goal is to help patients improve their energy, vitality, and overall well-being so they can enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Celeste has been married to her husband, Brian, for more than 25 years. Together they have two children whom they are proudly launching into adulthood.
Outside of work, Celeste enjoys cooking and exploring new cuisines, lifting weights, long walks, traveling the world with her family, participating in mission trips, having lunch with friends, and going to the movies. She is also an avid reader, especially of books set during the World War II era.
Alison Wensrich, MS, PA-C, HHC, AFMCP
Alison Wensrich is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 20 years of experience across family medicine, oncology, and functional medicine. She holds certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Institute for Functional Medicine (AFMCP), blending a strong foundation in traditional medicine with a personalized, root-cause approach to healing.
Alison’s passion for functional medicine is deeply personal. Diagnosed with cancer at age 20, she was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare. A decade later, facing anxiety and autoimmune thyroid issues, she turned to functional medicine to search for answers. Through restoring her gut health and addressing the underlying causes of her symptoms, she experienced firsthand the power of integrative healing—and has been committed to helping others do the same ever since.
She is especially passionate about supporting individuals with gut health issues, including IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). Currently pursuing a specialized certification in the integrative and functional approach to IBD, Alison brings both clinical expertise and a deep sense of empathy to her work. She understands how overwhelming a diagnosis can be, and she’s dedicated to empowering patients through education, personalized care, and lifestyle-based strategies to improve symptoms and long-term outcomes.
Outside the clinic, Alison is a wife and proud mother of two. She enjoys traveling with her family, cooking nourishing meals at home, walking with her two doodle dogs, and keeping up with her kids’ busy schedules—including percussion, scouts, cross country, gymnastics, soccer, and choir.
Kim Williamson, MMS, PA-C, HHC, AFMCP
Kim Williamson is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with over two decades of experience in the medical field. She is additionally trained and certified in both Functional Medicine and Holistic Health. Her journey into integrative care began more than a dozen years ago when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease—an experience that reshaped both her personal health and professional path.
Having battled a brain tumor, miscarriages, and a range of chronic health challenges—including hormonal imbalances, fatigue, digestive disorders, infections, and unexplained symptoms—Kim understands firsthand the frustration of being told “everything looks normal” while still feeling unwell. After years of searching for answers without relief, she turned to her own research, study, and training in integrative and functional medicine. By uncovering the root causes of her conditions, Kim was able to restore her own health—and now helps others do the same.
Beyond her work, Kim is a wife and mother of three. She loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, experiencing new cultures and cuisines, exploring nature, and capturing life’s moments through photography.
